End NF (Neurofibromatosis)

Katy Wakin has been in Burleson most her life and considers it home. She has been married for 14 years to Jason and they have two children. Their son, Denver is 12 and their daughter, Brita is 8. Katy works part-time at First Baptist Church in Burleson as the Director of Communications and really enjoys her role in FBC’s daily ministry. She just recently received her Bachelor of Arts and Science in Communication from Dallas Baptist University. 

Katy and Jason enjoy endurance activities such as swimming, biking and running and do several events a year with The Children’s Tumor Foundation in honor of their son who has a disorder called neurofibromatosis. They have raised over $100,000 for CTF over the past 10 years of involvement and continue to raise money each year. Their passion for this cause is obvious and plan to continue their fight for a cure until they see an end to NF.
